For almost a month now i am working on my next movie project with the working title “Anders?”. I thought now would be a good time to post some infos about it.

I am quite happy with my first movie “Together”, but somehow it bothers me that i didn´t spend enough time with the pre-production. We have been very lucky with all the stuff like weather, lights, sound and so on, but with hindsight i think that i should have worked more on the screenplay and the overall planning. The main point of critisism was the plot, so this time i wanted to take all the time i needed to develop the story and plan the shooting.

“Anders?” will be completely different compared to “Together”, of course the story, but not only that. This time i want to use the camera, the light and the sound to support the story, everything should be of a piece. So the requirements of this project are a lot higher than the last time, the whole team will consist of about 17 people, in comparison to “Together” where 7 people have been involved, so the planning is much more important. The estimated shooting date will be at the end of March, so there is some time left for the planning.

The current status of the project is pre-production as you can see. The first draft of the screenplay is finished, as well as the charachter biographies (which play an important role this time).

I thought a lot about how i could learn from the criticism on “Together” for this next movie and came to the following idea: i gathered all the points of criticism (at least all the negative ones) and wrote them down. With that document i will hold a brainstorming session with the crew where we will discuss all the points. We will analyze each of the points and try to think of a way how to improve this aspect in the next movie. I think this approach is quite a good one, we will discuss the current screenplay and so we can detect some weaknesses in it.

I don´t want to spoil too much of the story, but the movie is about a lonely women who has developed some strange behaviour over the years. Perhaps i will provide more info about the story in the future, but this time i wont publish the screenplay until the movie is finished, you should see the whole movie at once.

Well, thats it so far, i will provide some more informations during the pre-production in the future…
